Our Commitment

JMAC Plumbing and Air Conditioning is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: "partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Measures We Take

JMAC Plumbing and Air Conditioning takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:

  • Include accessibility as part of our design and development process
  • Provide accessible alternatives for non-text content (alt text, captions, transcripts) where reasonable

Our website is designed to be compatible with modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Speech-recognition software

The website is not designed for very old browser versions (released more than five years ago) or assistive technologies that do not support modern web standards.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations may include:

  • Third-party embedded content (such as maps, video players, or review widgets) may not meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of the site
  • Some older blog posts or images may be missing optimal alternative text and are being updated on an ongoing basis
  • Some PDFs or other downloadable documents may not be fully tagged for screen-reader navigation
